Skydoor church, Dnipro (Housing)

My name is Bogdan Konovalov, I am a pastor without one leg. At the moment, in the building of our church, we organized a shelter for refugees, a humanitarian warehouse and a social canteen. During the two months of the war in Ukraine, our shelter received 1000 people, we have distributed tons of humanitarian aid and thousands of hot meals across Dnipro city and region. Currently as a church we focus on maintaining refugee shelter for 60 people. Dnipro is receiving lots of refugees, that are fleeing the warzone mostly for several nights before their next, long term move. We provide safe place to stay, hot meals, clothing and most importantly spiritual support for everyone who enters our shelter. Depending on war situation we permanently host 30-40 people full time and keep 20 -30 seats for short term stays. Please support us financially on a regular basis. Victory Church, Uzhgorod (Housing)

Today we are housing 124 people across 3 shelters run by our church. From the first days of the war in Ukraine a large number of people came to our church in Uzhhorod. We help with paperwork and registration of internally displaced people, providing medical care, child care, helping in job search and make repairs in places that could be used for long term accommodation. We also arrange online classes for children displaced from their schools and even support refugees with hairdressing services. From the first day of the war we are meeting people at the railway and bus stations, feeding them, and providing them transportation to the border with Slovakia and Romania. 612 people have already been helped to cross the border of Ukraine. Once a week (Friday) we prepare hot lunches (120 servings) and feed migrants in Uzhhorod. Last week, 70 families received Aid kits with hygiene products, clothes, shoes, etc. We hire 3 refugee coordinators who manage operational and legal work in shelters, prepare aid kits, hot lunches, coordinate the work of volunteers, supervise and coordinate repair works, answer hotline calls 24/7, provide advice on evacuation, settlement and other topics. Victory Church, Lviv (Food assistance, Daycare & Housing)

We focus on 3 main areas: providing hot meals for local people in need, delivering food aid for temporarily displaced people, running full time shelter for 20 refugees and free Christian daycare for 10 children in Lviv. Hot meals for local people in need Every Tuesday we prepare fresh lunches and distribute them to people in need, our heart longs for helping the elderly and lonely people. The main purpose of our ministry is not only to feed people with warm lunch, but also give them spiritual food. At each such meeting we feed from 40 to 50 people, where we preach the Gospel and pray for people’s needs. We order lunches in a cafe or cook them by ourselves. Of course, we want to do feed people more often, so if this ministry has touched your heart, you can support us. We also buy these people medicines that they cannot afford Shelter & Food Aid kits As a church we serve people who find themselves in difficult circumstances during the war: we provides humanitarian aid in the form of food kits, hygiene products, baby food and clothing. We reach 120 families monthly with aid kits. We have also set up a full time shelter for 20 people in our church building, where we provide long and short term housing, meals and all basic household necessities. Christian Daycare We are aiming to open a free Christian daycare, where temporarily displaced parents can bring their children and go to work locally in Lviv. Lots of people arriving in Lviv need to start their life from scratch, since they’ve been fleeing the warzone. We already have renovated separate room for daycare and purchased basic furniture. We would like to buy the rest of the equipment and hire full-time teacher + assistant to start the daycare for 10 children first. Christian Youth Church, Zhytomyr (Evacuations from warzone)

Christian Youth Church in Zhytomyr is focusing on evacuations from the warzone. We primarily evacuate women and children, elderly, bedridden, people with disabilities and nursing homes from Eastern Ukraine. Evacuations are run from cities like Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, Kramatorsk and others that are directly affected by fights and bombarding. Since the beginning of war 845 people were safely evacuated. Current financial reports and stories of evacuated people can be found here https://reports.christianyouth.church/en/ OUR RESOURCES: TWO 20-seater minibuses TWO 9-seater minibuses ONE cargo van for humanitarian aid HOW WE OPERATE (1): Two large 20-seater minibuses travel to Kharkov and Dnipro through main open roads. Our volunteers are evacuating people from Severodonetsk to Dnipro, where we transfer them to our minibuses. The situation in Kharkiv is not stable and changes daily. Sometimes we drive into the city and evacuate people ourselves, sometimes volunteers take people out of the city and we pick them up in the suburbs. Kyiv and Sumy have the same situation. Additionally, when we are going somewhere we are packing our cars with food and humanitarian aid for local volunteers we know. HOW WE OPERATE (2): Two 9-seater minibuses go to remote locations – faraway villages etc. We believe that in those villages there are people who need the most help but physically can’t call to us (or don’t even know that we exist). We carefully explore small towns and villages, bring humanitarian aid there and evacuate children, elderly or people with disabilities. Unfortunately, we are not able to get into the occupied cities without “green corridors”. Sometimes we are getting calls from just one family with a child who has a disability in a remote village. Then we send our own car to evacuate those kids. Day Care Center in Warsaw Refugee Center (Children)

There are currently 2,000 refugees at one of these points. It is a transfer point that accepts and transfers hundreds of refugees daily. We look after children in this extremely stressful time and place. Some children stay here for one day and some will stay here for many days. We have animators, educators, and volunteers in these daycare centers. We see a great need and we know how to respond to it. We have partnered with a Polish non-profit called Dobra Cynic to oversee our operation. We need funding for equipment such as furniture, tables, chairs, rugs, and toys.  We will hire Ukrainian teachers and educators who have come over to Poland as refugees to run these daycare centers.
