“Be free” Youth movement, Zhytomyr (Housing)

The Brusyliv Family Center is located just 45 miles from the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, and 60 miles from Bucha, which was the scene of the war crimes. Since the start of the invasion Youth Movement "Be Free" activated its vast volunteer network to fill the gap in urgent humanitarian relief and evacuation efforts for thousands of families fleeing horrific violence and destruction. The Family Center operates 24/7, offering housing, hot meals, medical aid for free in our Zhytomyr region. Volunteers support the delivery of free groceries, including baby food, diapers, medicine, clothing, shoes, and hygienic items to the local community and across Ukraine. On average our facility serves from 50 to 150 families on the daily basis. To date we provided hot meals to over 2700 people, delivered over 3846 food kits, over 1880 were given overnight shelter and 4876 people received baby food, diapers and medicine. Our staff and a network of volunteers maintain the facilities around the clock, ensuring a safe, clean, and family-friendly environment. This includes meal preparation, laundry facilities, childcare, supply deliveries, driving of evacuation vehicles, medical services, and much more. The Center also serves as a rest stop for passthrough drivers of evacuation vehicles, and humanitarian aid delivery trucks. For many this is the only place for miles to get a hot meal, and stock up on food and water for the long journey ahead. For all that we've done already, the needs are growing. We see a real urgency to scale and deepen the extent of our services to provide life-giving aid across the network. We would highly appreciate your financial contribution into our work.
